Max and Theresa Wharton

Founders

Bio: Max and Theresa Wharton started Arise! in 2004 after working with another Native American Ministry for several years. Max has lived in Colorado since 1971 and started or helped to start several high technology businesses during his career. He still provides consulting services to small companies. Theresa is  a native of Colorado and works with the elderly at a Christian nursing home. They have two sons who have been involved in the ministry since they were in elementary school. Their older son Chris is a Senior at the International House of Prayer University in Kansas City and he and his new wife Carley will be engaged in ministry after graduation. Their son Samuel is a Junior in high school and he loves the mountains and plays high school basketball.

Kent and Luara Thornburg

Bio: Kent and Laura, along with their children Rebeca and Tyson, have been serving Jesus with Arise! since 2006. Laura is an award-winning professional groomer.

Kent works as a property manager and they reside on their mini-rach in Lakewood Colorado with many horses, several dogs, a few cats and one bird. They are a wonderful addition to the Arise! team.
